Female Pubic Hair Shaving

A woman will want to shave her pubic hair because of different reasons. She would want to do it for hygienic reasons or would want to look and feel sexier for herself and her partner. Shaving the pubic hair may also save a lot of embarrassment when wearing a bikini.

The best place for a female to shave pubic hair is the bathroom and before one begins it is best to ensure that all the things you might need are there so that there is no need to stop in the middle to look for things. The main things that are required are a clean pair of scissors, shaving cream and a non-electric personal razor.

The first thing that needs to be done is that the pubic hair should be trimmed using a pair of clean scissors. Long pubic hair should never be shaved as it easily blunts the razor. So if the hair is long and you are doing it for the first time it is advisable to give it a quick trim. It is important that the scissors and the razor are very clean so that there is no risk of infection. Do not be tempted to use the same scissors as you use on your pet or in the garden as it is more than likely to carry an infection!

When trimming, the aim should not be to remove all the pubic hair, instead it is to reduce the length of the hair so that it becomes easier to give it a shape, and shave it later with the razor. If a razor is used to shave long hair, it will take a long time to clean and you'll end up snagging hair which can be painful. Trimming is best performed over the toilet bowl or in the shower. If you do it in the shower, make sure that you have a hair trap over the outlet to catch the hairs. Once the hair has been trimmed it is recommend that the shaving is performed in the shower so that the skin is clean, soft and also warm. If at all possible, it is best if one leg is placed at height on a stool or the side of the bath tub so that there is better access to the bikini area.

There are many different shaving lubricants such as jelly, gels and foams that you can use. The better quality lubricant you use, the fewer nicks and cuts you'll get. Avoid gels with ingredients like mint as they can irritate sensitive area

After covering all the hair with shaving lubricant, the woman should start at the top by pulling back the skin to make it tight. Then holding this skin tight with one hand use the other to control the razor. Then starting on the sides, move down to the centre. After shaving the pubic area in the direction of the hair growth, women can then shave it across and then against the hair growth to get an ultra smooth finish.

To shave the area inside the labia one needs to open the lips and use the razor very carefully. Once you have finished the skin should be clean and smooth. Once you've got rid of all the excess lubricant you should dry the shaven area. Then apply a moisturizer to help soothe the irritated skin. Depending on hair growth, a female can shave her pubic hair daily or once every few days. The more you practice the better the results and it is something that both you and your partner will love!
