Review of Biotechnique Avance IPL 800D

Laser epilation or Intense Pulse Light (IPL hair removal) therapy machines are the new word in cosmetological and dermatological procedures. This procedure involves the use of intense pulses of light controlled by a computer that can penetrate the epidermal layer of the skin. This procedure is currently used for a host of problems like age spots, pigmentation and minor sun damage to the skin.

Biotechnique Avance's diode laser epilation equipment is used for the permanent removal of facial and unwanted body hair. The procedure used by this particular machine is the vaporization of the hair follicle by light energy thus making the effect permanent.

Biotechnique Avance's diode laser epilation technique uses a high power lamp coupled with precision optics to deliver the photon energy in the pulses of light with the desired intensity. Permanency of the procedure is achieved progressively, hence multiple sessions are required.

The latest model by Biotechnique Avance is the IPL 800D, which comes packed with cutting edge technology called Photon Absorption Feedback Metering. This equipment is more powerful and makes IPL hair removal from the face and body easier than ever before. Though the amounts of emissions are higher, the procedure remains safe. The IPL 800D is also effective for general dermatological procedures such as age spot reduction, wrinkles and tattoo removal.

Depending on the intensity of the condition, satisfactory results are shown within 2 to 5 sittings and stretch over a period of 90 days. The procedure uses its powerful lamp to deliver precise high pulses of light to the skin. The amount of light used is not large enough to cause damage to the skin of an average individual, and the amount of light delivered to the skin is mechanically controlled at every stage.

Biotechnique Avance's diode laser epilation technique, different from a laser treatment, can cover larger areas of skin in a sitting and thus reducing the overall time to finish the treatment. The procedure though, for the most part painless, can cause mild discomfort in the form of a pinching sensation to some. To tackle this, Biotechnique Avance recommends the use of an ice pack or numbing spray prior to the procedure. It can be further alleviated by controlling the light to suit the individual.

However, as is the case with most IPL procedures, this procedure does not work with every skin type. Biotechnique Avance recommends the use of this hair removal machine for people whose skin pigment falls within 1-4 on the Fitzpatrick Scale (lighter complexion). If the skin pigmentation rating is above this, the use of diode laser epilation is not recommended. This also includes people who are prone to keloids, dark complexioned or tanned or susceptible to hyper/hypo pigmentation and people with very oily skin.

Biotechnique Avance's IPL 800D is touted to be very safe as the procedure is highly precise and controllable. Other than the downside that this treatment cannot be used for people with certain skin types, the Biotechnique Avance IPL 800D machine looks like the last word in IPL hair removal technology.
