How to remove hair painlessly

Some people think that excessive hair is really unattractive so they administer many treatments to rectify this. One of the primary concerns that many people have is to find the least painful technique. Numbing creams are one of the most favoured options for removing hairs painlessly around areas like eyebrows, underarms and pubic region.

Numbing Creams

There are several hair removal techniques of which 5 are most widely used: Threading, tweezing, waxing, electrolysis and laser. Out of these, the most painful are typically threading, waxing (or sugaring) and tweezing and a numbing cream can be used to alleviate the pain.

Waxing

Waxing is one of the most popular and widely used means of removing hair. Waxing or even sugaring can be quite painful especially in sensitive areas or even on sensitive skin. As waxing results in one of the smoothest skins, most people tend to go to specialist clinics especially to remove hairs from the pubic region.

A numbing cream eases out the pain for the delicate skin and softens the hair for easy removal. There are several strong numbing creams like Dr. Numb which numbs the skin for up to 3 hours. It is also used for various surgical procedures as well. It is preferable to use a non-oil based topical ointment to help with the extraction of the hairs.

Tweezing

A small plucker or a tweezer can do wonders in getting rid of unwanted hair. The small piece of equipment is quite handy for women who are always on the move or often need a regular check up on their appearances. Tweezers pull out hair from the root one by one but the procedure is quite tedious and definitely a little painful.

Putting a small amount of numbing cream can often make tweezing hair less painful. Most women use tweezers to remove hair from upper lips or from eyebrows where the skin is quite tender. A numbing cream helps to reduce soreness after the treatment and there is certainly less pain. This makes tweezing very fast and definitely less boring.

Threading

Many men and women resort to threading for hair removal but the process is equally painful as tweezing. Moreover, threading also often leaves the skin very sore and irritated. People with sensitive skin often have reddening of the skin or a burning sensation after threading.

A numbing cream not only reduces the pain but the numbness also leaves the skin to heal naturally. Dr. Numb numbing cream is a non-oily topical anaesthetic cream containing Prilocane and Lidocaine. It is also used for numbing the skin when tattooing, body piercing, etc. It makes the process a lot easier and less painful.

Laser

Some people find laser hair removal fairly painful. They often state that it is like having a rubber band snapped against their skin. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to pain during laser treatment then you can also apply a numbing cream to help. The more pain free the experience is, the more likely you are to return to complete the treatment sessions and have that perfect hair-free skin.
